The Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden in Srinagar, is the largest Tulip Garden in Asia and it overlooks the Zabarwan Range, with an overview of the Dal Lake. The Tulip Garden is home to 16 lakh tulips from 68 different varieties. It was opened for the public since 2007.
The Tulip Garden has several other flowers like daffodils, hyacinth, rose, narcissus and ornamental plants. This garden comes to life in the spring season when the Tulip festival is held. The water channels that run across its seven terraces adds to its beauty. It is open for visit from 9 to 7.00pm every day.
